German Football Team : The BEST Football Team this WORLD CUP

German Football Team Logo

The German Football Team, DIE MANNSCHAFT is the team that played their first international game ever in 1908 and appeared for the very first time in the 1934 World Cup. The team has appeared 18 times till now in the World Cup and has been the World Cup Champions in 1954, 1974, 1990 and recently 2014 (So its 4 times). Therefore, Germany has been one of the most successful national teams in International competitions

Also, they have appeared 11 times in European Championship and have won 3 times, i.e. in 1972, 1980, and 1996. They have been runners-up three times in the European Championship, four times in the World Cup and have won a further four third places.

Germany is the ONLY nation to have won both the men’s and women’s World Cup (The Best Part). Germany is also the ONLY EUROPEAN NATION that has qualified for EVERY FIFA WORLD CUP they have been permitted to enter. Also, East Germany won the Olympic Gold in 1976. Currently they are No.2 in FIFA ranking.

Germany’s Time

Germans made it to the semi-finals of the last two World Cups, but were beaten by the eventual winners (Italy in 2006 and Spain in 2010) on both occasions. Also, they made it to the finals of Euro 2008 and the Semi-finals of Euro 2012, in which they were beaten again by Spain and Italy respectively. Surely, their luck had to turn. Luck was on their side. They made it to the finals of this World Cup and became Champions too.

Joachim Löw – German Football Team – Head Coach/Manager

Joachim Löw is the Head coach/manager of the team and a former attacking midfielder. He has been an excellent coach for the team and has been coaching the team since 2006. He has been a confident coach throughout this World Cup too. Germany has been able to reach at least the Semi-finals of all five major tournaments under him. He took the team to the finals of Euro 2008 and World Cup 2014. He is a mild-mannered man and is always ready to listen and compromise. He is not a dictator. Neither he is shy about hard decisions and is very honest with his players. This is what makes him an awesome coach. His coaching made the team win the FIFA World Cup 2014 in Brazil. Apart from all this, he was the real Heart throb with an innate sense of style. Enough said!! *Wink Wink*

 Best and Lethal Strikers

Miroslav Klose

The team has the World Cup’s all time record scorer, Miroslav Klose. He scored his 16th goal during the Semi-final against Brazil eclipsing from former Brazil striker Ronaldo in the record books with his 23-minute strike. Also, he has been the part of many of the goals from Germany’s all time score of 71 goals which was another record made during the same game of highest score ever made by a team in the World Cup history. He is a Gentleman who refused a penalty. He has been a Golden Boot winner in the past. This World Cup was his last World Cup. And he broke the records for himself and for the team too. Must say, this was the perfect farewell anyone could ever ask for! RESPECT, KLOSE!

Thomas Müller

Team also has the 24-year old prolific player, Thomas Müller. He got the Golden Boot in World Cup 2010. During this World Cup too, he was one of the top contenders of the same title and made a goal hatrick against Portugal and scored 5 goals in the whole tournament. He received the Adidas Silver Ball and Adidas Silver Boot this World Cup. He is one of the YOUNG GUNS and is the future of German Football. He is indeed one of the most effective players of the team.

Mario Götze

How can somebody forget the Golden boy, who made the stunning goal in Extra Time and made Germany win the World Cup 2014? The young boy, Mario Götze!! This 22-year old player scored 2 goals in this World Cup, but one of his goals made the team become the Champions of FIFA World Cup 2014. He proved himself as a precious player, indeed.

Young Guns

Also, Mats Hummels, Mesut ÖzilAndré Schürrle, Toni Kroos  proved themselves in this tournament, especially contributing to the amazing 7-1 score against Brazil in the Semi-finals and these are also the YOUNG GUNS of the team. The team has powerful players like, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Sami Khedira, Lukas Podolski and Philipp Lahm is the captain of the team.

Manuel Neuer

Plus, the Golden Glove was given to the Goalkeeper of this team, Manuel Neuer

Also, GERMANY became the FIRST EUROPEAN TEAM EVER TO WIN A WORLD CUP ON THE AMERICAN LAND.

This team is indeed a record breaking team and was the BEST team this World Cup. Heartiest Congratulations to Deutschland for becoming the FIFA WORLD CUP 2014 CHAMPIONS. Well played and well deserving victory!! Ich Liebe Deutschland :)

    1. I know right? Even I was supporting them, since last World Cup, i.e. the 2010 one. They worked so much on their strengths and weaknesses. Obviously, they deserved it. :)
